A PTTN Full Participant Does a Lot!

A Full Participant has earned at least 12 points in the previous election cycle. (Each election cycle, they must accumulate points again, except for sources of permanent points.) Here is how political actions are rated:

Voting  2 points if they did pre-election study, 1 pt if they didn’t.

Pre-election study
2 pt if they voted, no points if they studied but didn’t vote. (People can study on their own; they don’t have to go to a Study / Party event.)

Advocacy and/or campaigning for a candidate
1 pt for 3-6 hours in the last six months period,  2 pts for 6-12 hrs. in the last six months,  3 pts for more than 12 hrs.

Donation
1 pt for a donation to PTTN of at least $10 in the last year; or 1 pt for $40 dollars or more total donated to advocacy group or campaign in the last year. (So you could give $20 to an advocacy group and $20 to a candidate to earn a point.)

News   1 pt for at least one hr a week of high quality political news; 1 bonus point if you are taking in news from at least two distinct point of views on the political spectrum; and 1 bonus point for a second hr. per week of news.

Completing the Survey.
1 pt.

Sources of permanent points:

Core Exercises
(of the Online Course)  1 pt for doing the Core Exercises.   See here for Core Exercises list.

Test:  1 pt for passing Level One,  1 more point for passing Level Two,  1 more point for passing Level Three.

Invite people to join who become full participants  (have descendents)  1 pt for one descendant when he/she becomes a full participant; 1 more point for the second, and 1 more pt for the third full descendant.

So, for example, here are five different ways to be an active participant based on the last six months:

 1.  Vote and do the pre-election study (4),  Do core exercises and pass first level of test (2), Do two hours of advocacy per month (2), Make a $10 donation to PTTN (1),  One hour of news, including at least news from two different points on the political spectrum (2),  completing the survey  (1).

2.  Do core exercises and pass three levels of test (4),  Do more than 12 hours of advocacy in six months (3),  Have three full participant descendants (3),   $40 donation to a candidate or advocacy group. [Notice that they didn’t vote and don’t do news.], completing the survey  (1).

3.  Vote (without pre-election study) (1), Do 8 hours of advocacy over the six months  (2),  Have two active or Chain Reaction descendants  (2),  Take in an average of one hour of political news a week  (1),  Donate $10 to PTTN and $40 to a candidate or advocacy group  (2),   Do core exercise and pass two levels of test (3),  completing the survey  (1).

4.  Same as above but instead of doing core and two levels test, take in 2 hours of quality news a week, including news from different points of spectrum. (2 more points), and do more five more hours of advocacy (1 more pt.), completing the survey  (1).

5.  Vote with pre-election study  (4),  One active descendent (1),  12  hours of advocacy (2),  Three levels of test (3),  $40 donation to candidate or advocacy group (1),  completing the survey  (1).
